This hotel is a hidden gem! The rooms are lovely and spacious and feel very luxurious. The breakfast is delicious, with options varying and changing everyday. The hotel is also very centrally located and close to major attractions. We will definitely be back here.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights before we embarked on a cruise. Two days into our cruise, I discovered I did not have my jewelry that I had kept in the hotel safe. I immediately called the hotel and they were able to track down the jewelry and had it sent on to me in Madrid! I could not believe how helpful they were. In addition, the hotel was very clean and the room was lovely. Highly recommend.
I am used to larger rooms than what I got at The Stendhal, but overall I enjoyed my stay there. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary and that made up for any issue I had with the size of the room. Additionally, the bartender, Eddie, was excellent. The cosmo he made was very good and he was a delight!
Location is within walking distance to Spanish steps and Via Condotti, where the main shopping area is. Convenient location for food, you can find decent and reasonable priced Italian restaurants The staff was friendly and warm especially Marco and Guisseppi at breakfast service. Overall a very positive experience.
Hotel Stendhal was the first stop on our honeymoon. We are first time travelers and had no idea how to plan and pick hotels, so we just kinda picked at random. We got so lucky with Hotel Stendhal. It was just perfect. A great location, comfortable and clean room, great shower pressure, comfy bed and WONDERFUL staff. We were so surprised to find our room even had a tiny balcony! We were able to walk to all the major sites, the furthest being Vatican City, which was about a 45 min walk. Everything we hoped for in a hotel, Stendhal exceeded. Suraj at the front desk was so helpful and welcoming. The cleaning staff deserves major kudos, as our room was spotless and the staff at breakfast made us feel like we were right at home. Do not skip the breakfast… it is amazing and the cappuccinos are delicious. When we checked out, we both said, “this was a great place to stay.”
Excellent hotel in central Rome, convenient to many sights. Located on a busy street, but still pretty quiet. Decent breakfast.
The room if fine and hotel is in a great location. However, we have a toilet that doesn't function properly in our very expensive room. No one has fixed it yet.
Centrally located. Withing walking distance to Roma Termini, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. Two blocks away from the Metro.
